Extrudor cooling
Vacuum extrusion presses are used for extrusion of plasticized ceramic compositions and hard metals to solid, hollow and profile strings. The extrusion press consists of an auger and is arranged perpendicular to a compression screw. The compression screw transports, homogenizes and compresses the mass. The final shape is formed with a mouthpiece. The quality is affected by the parameters pressure, vacuum and temperature. The heating / cooling device can be used for maximum of four separate circuits. The screw and other areas of the press cylinder can be tempered in the range of 3°C to 80°C, depending on the nature of the mass and the final product. This is achieved with a Unichiller® UC010-H and can be used on up to four units per vacuum extruder.
