Calibration of heat meters
Heat meters are used to calculate billing for consumer households. The meters are calibrated in a laboratory at regular intervals.
There are 4 temperature controlled 25 litre pools per test. The test temperatures are 35, 50, 80 and 130°C. Water, glycerine or triethylene glycol are used as a medium. High temperature stability, good temperature distribution in the test baths and high long-term stability is required for these tests.
Using a calibrated temperature measuring system, the baths are monitored. The CC-E controllers are configured and set to a resolution of not less than 4 thousandths of a degree Kelvin (+/-0.004°C).
